A non-
Profit organization, affiliated to Dubai Chamber of
commerce, consists of voluntary association of companies
and individuals, with an objective of providing a
networking forum for our members to develop their
business. Playing an important role in deepen relation
between Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, and in the
re-construction of Iraq.
The
council run by an elected executive committee consists
of president, two vice-president, treasurer, secretary,
and six general members. This committee is elected by
the general assembly of the council for a period of two
years.
The
Iraqi Business Council (IBCD) was established in 2003 as
to provide a forum for discussion and exchange of views
on bilateral business conditions. It also deals with
domestic and national issues affecting Emirates/Iraqi
companies and their personnel.

Objectives
of the IBCD
To
promote and foster close relations between United Arab
Emirates and Iraq, in particular mutual understanding,
goodwill, harmony and alliance amongst the business
communities of both countries. To provide an opportunity
for meeting people involved or interested in enhancing
trade and investment stream between UAE and Iraq, in
order to exchange ideas, experience, and information,
develop contacts, and facilitate interaction .To
identify, encourage and inform members (and other
interested parties) of appropriate sources of
information relating to trade and investment
opportunities, practices and regulations, in UAE and
Iraq. To support UAE business interests in Iraq, and
Iraqi business interests in UAE, by providing
information, advice, and representations to a nominated
parties. To liaise and cooperate with organizations in
UAE and Iraq with aims similar to those of the Council.

Membership
Categories
Corporate: Open to companies or firms with Iraqi
interests, or which are interested in developing trade
or commercial interests in Iraq; or who are engaged in
the promotion of Iraqi products or services in UAE.
Individual: Open to businesspersons, being citizens of
Iraq, residing in UAE and who are engaged in business or
a profession; or business persons who either
individually or in association with a corporate entity
are prominent investor in Iraq.
